Get Down On It

Descriptions: 64 count - 4 wall - Beginner/Intermediate level line dance

HIPS THRUST RIGHT (LIFT UP & DROP), KNEES STRAIGHT, KNEES BEND
1 Have weight on left foot, point right foot to right side and thrust hips to right (push hips up), straightening knees
2 Thrust hips down (drop hips) bend your knees/sink down beside left
3 Thrust hips up, straightening knees
4 Drop hips, bending /sink knees beside left
FULL TURN LEFT (TRAVELING FORWARD), RIGHT SHUFFLE FORWARD
5-6 Step ½ turn left stepping back on right (via left shoulder, facing 6:00), turn ½ turn left stepping forward on left (via left shoulder, now facing 12:00)
7&8 Right shuffle forward
HIPS THRUST LEFT (LIFT UP & DROP), KNEES STRAIGHT, KNEES BEND
1 Have weight on right foot, point left foot to left side and thrust hips to left (push hips up), straightening knees
2 Thrust hips down (drop hips) bend your knees/sink down beside right
3 Thrust hips up, straightening knees
4 Drop hips, bending /sink knees beside right
FULL TURN RIGHT (TRAVELING FORWARD), LEFT SHUFFLE FORWARD
5-6 Step ½ turn right stepping back on left (via right shoulder, facing 6:00), turn ½ turn right stepping forward on right (via right shoulder, now facing 12:00)
7&8 Left shuffle forward
CROSS OVER, POINT TO SIDE, SHOULDER UP & DOWN, CROSS OVER, POINT TO SIDE, KNEES BEND DOWN & UP
1-2 Right cross over left, point left to left side
3-4 Bringing left shoulder up (with weight), drop shoulder down (with weight)
5-6 Left cross over right, point right to right side
7-8 Bending knees down then up
FORWARD ROCK, COASTER STEP, FORWARD ROCK, TRIPLE ¾ TURN LEFT
1-2 Rock forward on right, recover onto left
3&4 Step back on right, step left beside right, step forward on left
5-6 Rock forward on left, recover onto right
7&8 Triple ¾ turn left stepping left, right, left (now facing 3:00)
TOE TOUCHES WITH CROSS (RIGHT & LEFT)
1-4 Touch right toe to right side, kick right foot across left, touch right toe to right side, cross right foot in front of left (with weight)
5-8 Touch left toe to left side, kick left foot across right, touch left toe to left side, cross left foot behind right (with weight)
HIPS BUMP RIGHT, HIPS BUMP LEFT, PADDLE FULL TURN LEFT
1&2 Step forward right diagonally, body facing 10:30 and hips bump right, left, right
3&4 Step forward left diagonally, body facing 1:30 and hips bump left, right, left
5-8 ¼ turn left on left foot, pointing right foot beside left (12:00), ¼ turn left on left foot, pointing right foot beside left (9:00) ¼ turn left on left foot, pointing right foot beside left (6:00) ¼ turn left on left foot, pointing right foot beside left (3:00)
SIDE SHUFFLE, ROCK STEP, SIDE SHUFFLE, ROCK STEP
1&2 Step right to right side, step left next to right, step right to right side
3-4 Step left foot back with weight, recover forward on right foot with weight
5&6 Step left to left side, step right next to left, step left to left side
7-8 Step right foot back with weight, recover forward on left foot with weight
ROCKING CHAIR, PIVOT ½ TURN LEFT TWICE
1-4 Rock forward on right, rock back on left, rock back on right, rock forward on left
5-8 Step forward on right, pivot ½ turn left, step forward on right, pivot ½ turn left

On wall 3, after 32 count (triple ¾ turn left, facing 9:00) restart dance

STOMP RIGHT FORWARD, HOLD, ½ TURN LEFT, HOLD, CROSS OVER STEPS (TWIST) RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT
1-2-3-4 Stomp right forward, hold, ½ turn left, hold (weight on left foot)
5-6-7-8 Cross right foot over left (left knee slightly bend), cross left over right, (twist), cross right over left (left knee slightly bend), cross left over right (twist)
STOMP RIGHT FORWARD, HOLD, ½ TURN LEFT, HOLD, CROSS OVER STEPS (TWIST) RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT
1-8 Repeat above 8 counts
HIP BUMP, HOLD, HIP BUMP, HOLD, HIP ROLLS
1-2 Bump hips to right side, hold
3-4 Bump hips to left side, hold
5-6-7-8 Hip rolls (2 x)

1-2 Touch right toe across in front of left, drop right heel to take weight

7-8 Turn ¼ right stepping right to right side, step left beside right
On wall 3 (12:00), dance those last 2 counts without ¼ turn right, then restart from section 1
TOE STRUT(CROSS), TOE STRUT(CROSS), JAZZ BOX WITH ¼ TURN RIGHT
1-8 Repeat above 8 counts
REPEAT
RESTART: Restart on wall 3 after section 4 (facing 12:00)
TAG: After completion of wall 2 (12:00), completion of wall 4 (6:00), insert the tag
&1 Jump right to right side, touch left toe beside right
&2 Jump left to left side, touch right toe beside left
&3 Jump right to right side, touch left toe beside right
4 Step left to left side (shoulder width apart)
5-6-7-8 Tap both heels down 4 times (both knee slightly bend)
ENDING POSITION: When the music slow down & end on the back wall (6:00) insert this to finish last beat of music facing front
1-2-3-4 Step forward on right, hold, pivot ½ turn to the left, hold
5-6 Raise both arms (both palms facing out)
7-8 Left hand scroll down and made a circle up again (left knee bend down & up together with the hand movement)
